1. Putting The Smart In Smartphone

Small, slim and slinky; the Blackberry Pearl (8100) is lighter than a Motorola RAZR

RIM's BlackBerry devices are big, chunky email machines that you wouldn't want to use for phone calls, right? Wrong. The new BlackBerry Pearl is one of the slimmest, sleekest phones you can lay your hands on; as stylish as Motorola's RAZR, just as thin and even lighter. It's packed with high end phone features like voice dialing, speakerphone and MP3 ringtones that you can customize for different callers.

The It has a glowing trackball on the front that gives it its name and makes it easy to navigate through the full set of applications that come bundled. And it still has a QWERTY keyboard and the best email handling of any phone or PDA. There's no such thing as the perfect device, but the BlackBerry Pearl is something of a gem.
